                  what sound in slow
                      night
                arrests us
             what flaw of operation
which electronminimal switch
 stalls in this still session

     flip pages of the dumb
       book
   filter static and feel more
     featured
                   enough
       between us
         surge forward
                  certainly

ambivalent on dull floral

around the mass          wall
now appears dirty          arm hair
quivers delicately in waiting room
atmosphere          near
strangers          we think
we love each other
